So i have a HP xw9400, (Workstation) And i want to transfer everything to a new motherboard because my motherboard doesnt support good gaming cpus. Its the same motherboard that comes with it. I wanna know what motherboard can i switch to that will have lots of options in regards to cpu's. And a side question, if it can be answered great. Is there a way to know if a pc case fits your motherboard

Solution
You won't change much by just changing the mobo, since you'll end up getting one with the same socket, therefore same CPU compatibility. At this point you'd have to upgrade both your CPU and mobo. Mobos come in form factors (ATX,mini-ATX,ITX), inscribed on your case there should be written the form factor it accepts. Also know that a mini-ATX mobo will fit in an ATX case.
