Transfer Word 2007 to new laptop without cd drive

My old laptop has died suddenly and I have purchased a new one but it does not have a cd drive. I have bought a USB 3.0 to SATA and have transferred files over from old drive BUT how do I transfer program files like Office 2007? I still have the disc and key for this. I am not a teccy person so don't understand a lot of the techno speak!

Programs like Microsoft Office cannot simply be copied over to new computers/hard drives. They need to be installed on the new computer's operating system. Unfortunately, Microsoft has discontinued support for digital downloads of Office 2007. Your best option is going to be to purchase an external CD/DVD drive and use it to install the Office program from your original CD/DVD.
