So I am building a new PC. I have a new 980 pro M.2 that I will be installing Windows on. I also want to transfer my old 2tb 970 evo to this PC but was wondering if there is anything additional that needs to be done to transfer my data. This was not the drive I was booting into Windows with on my old computer. I was booting from an additional 970 evo 500gb, and had the 2tb drive as my secondary for additional storage. Would I simply just need to install the 2tb drive to my new PC and I am good?

install windows on your boot drive first, with only that drive installed.
Then power down, put in your secondary drive, and set the correct boot drive in the BIOS.
That should be all you need to do, the secondary drive will show up in your file browser with all your files there.

Awesome, thanks for the quick response.
