I'm having an issue switching Windows 10 to a SSD. I chose to restore the computer to factory settings. i then used easeUS todo to clone the system onto the SSD. Now I'm not sure how to remove the OS from the HHD, as it will not let me format it. I don't not have a copy of windows 10, because this PC was upgraded from 8.1.

Now that windows 10 is cloned to the ssd, how do i boot from it and format the Old hard drive?

Solution
Have you verified 100% that the system boots from the SSD by itself?
Power off
Physically disconnect the HDD
Power up

Does it boot properly?
If so, we can proceed on.

Generally, that needs to be the very first step after the clone process is done.
Physically disconnect the old drive, and allow the system to try to boot from the new drive.
