Tribes2 is it good?

Not that it matters now but is it good? I tried reading everything I could on it. From what I saw it is unreal and soldier of fortune with cars. How is the game play?

I really like Tribes 2.

I don't think it's very similar to UT at all...

If you have a decent internet connection, and a GOOD system, I'd wholeheartedly recommend it.

BTW - I play it on my rather poor system, PIII 550 with TNT2 and 256 megs of RAM, I have to have to graphics set fairly low for it to be playable. Still lots of fun, though.

IMO, it is a good deal more fun than UT.

I'd compare it to MechWarrior, although more fast-paced. Or, better yet, Outwars, although nobody knows about Outwars.
Anyway, it's a good game, but a good internet connection (or at the very least, friends who have LAN parties) is a must.

the only fun times i have playing tribes 2 is in servers with lots (like over 20) of people in them. that way theres always someone to kill

Thanks. I bought the game and love it...now that I have played it, it's not like unreal at all.

I have 7 computer here at home that are all able to play plus a cable modem to the internet...hardware is not a problem in this house...I have everything turned on and it plays great.
