I just bought my first desktop GPU, an inno3D RTX 3060. I wanted to put off OC for as long as possible, but today when I ran The Witcher 3 at 1080p ultra (HBAO+), my temps soared to 75-80C ( bad case+ no bottom fans, upgrading parts one by one). So I decided to undervolt and OC to get the best temps while not losing fps. Ended up with 2002 MHz core(+215 MHz), 8500MHz mem (+1000MHz) at 975 mV (went +25mV from 950 and it worked, maybe there's room to fine tune). And holy moly were the results impressive. Ran TW3 for an hour, not a peep over 66C, and it's only ~3 fps short of the same OC settings at 1081 mV. I just want to know if I'm pushing the memory too hard, cos I've heard it's the first thing that dies, or if anything's potentially unsafe in my settings. I would also appreciate any good practice suggestions for fine tuning the OC.

Time will tell but, if you played for an hour without any issue it may be fine. Keep going until you have issues/artifacts. Good job on keeping it cool! 👍

Something to think about though - it's getting cooler in the northern hemisphere. People's homes are dropping in temps from the peak summer heat. You may have to revisit stability when temps creep back up to summer highs.
