tried to modify Duron - no go

I have a Duron 650 and after looking through the CPU databases I came to the conclusion that my particular CPU should be able to hit 900 with no qualms. However, I modified the processor and now it doesn't work period. I have an MSI K7T Pro. I used a small tool that resembles a water pick to disconnect the bridges and a mechanical pencil with a .7 lead to try to reconnect some of them to get the 900 MHz setting. No worky. I even ran across a post from someone with a K7T Pro and he said that the only way he could OC his chip in his board was to disconnect all the L1 bridges, so his board wouldn't interfere with the multiplier settings and keep it from booting. So I did that, still no go. I'm pretty sure that the tool I used to disconnect the bridges did the job, but it's hard to tell. Also, it left nice big scratches on the cpu (not the core).
Is my .7 not sufficient to conduct between the bridges? BTW, I did double check to make sure than none of my marks were touching the next bridge or mark over. Also, does anybody know if the Fuzzy Logic program that comes with the board will allow multiplier changes? As it stands now I have a dead Duron.

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reconnecting the bridges with pencil lead is a bit dicey - its conductivity can vary a lot. You might want to get a conductive ink pen and try that - should be available from your local electronics supplier. The nib will probably be too wide, so try applying the ink with a fine needle or a knife edge.

Also, don't shoot straight for 900 MHz, that's a very big jump. Step up gradually, bearing in mind that you'll almost certainly have to up the VCore voltage at some point.

BTW, I haven't actaully done this, I've just read a lot of articles describing it.

in order to OC the Duron you are supposed to use the pencil to connect all the L1 bridges. This allows you adjust the multiplier on your motherboard without touching the CPU again. I helped my friend do his Duron a couple weeks ago. He has a 700. We penciled the L1 bridges without touching the other bridges and all is good. He has the KT7 RAID, but I'm sure yours MSI allows multiplier changes too.

That's the thing: this board doesn't support multiplier changes through jumpers or through the BIOS. the only reason I even tried to disconnect the L1 in the first place is because somebody with the same board said they had to in order it to even boot up. So I guess right now my main issue is getting something to reconnect the bridges with...
I have some solder, but I have some doubts about using it.
Which takes me back to my original question; does anybody know if the Fuzzy Logic software that comes withe the MSI K7T Pro will let you do multiplier changes?
