[SOLVED] TRIM Support for Yosemite, Kext mod

Hello, I was wondering if you know if my theory would work.

I plan to modify a kext to enable trim for third party drives, then package and sign it using xcode.

would this allow me to keep kext signing enabled while also enabling trim support for third party ssd's?

There's an easy way to find out - try it and see.

I'd have thought if you had enough knowledge to modify a kext in this way you would have a fair idea of the answer already.

Be careful enabling TRIM for non-Apple SSD's, it can cause disk corruptions on some (could be why they disable it).
