How to I enable TRIM Mode in Win 7 for InnoRobust SATAII?

If you set the motherboard controller to AHCI mode before you installed Win7, and if that drive supports TRIM, TRIM will be enabled by default. Wait for someone with more experience than I have to come along and post the command that checks whether or not it is actually enabled in the OS, as a double-check.

Did you install Win7 with the controller in the default IDE mode?

The Trim command should be enabled by default on Windows 7, but if you want to check to make sure do this:


Command prompt > fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify

DisableDeleteNotify = 1 (Windows TRIM commands are disabled)
DisableDeleteNotify = 0 (Windows TRIM commands are enabled)

TRIM is a Windows feature that was introduced in Microsoft Windows 7. It is automatically enabled when Windows 7 is installed. No need to do anything.

You would have to go through several steps to disable the Microsoft Windows TRIM feature. If you did not disable TRIM on purpose, then TRIM is enabled.

The command prompt posted by WyomingKnott will verify that TRIM is enabled.

What are you going to do with your ssd?

Yeah,I did that,It shows a 0 which means its enabled.But when I run the performance test for disk.It doesn't tally with its original sequential read and write results.Anything wrong with it?
