Question Triple screen monitor mount

Hi,

I'm looking for a triple 27 inch monitor mount with a desk mount as my desk is height adjustable. Which in itself isn't hard to find however. I do sim racing and the screens need to brought in towards the edge to be closer to my racing seat that I place under my desk.

This leaves me with some options like the Ergotron HX for example which has 1 single arm with a bracket that mounts the 3 monitors. The maximum size of this mount is 26 inch which just falls short of what I already have. Now what I am thinking of doing is adding an offset bracket which usually get used for changing the height but I could use it to bring it further out thus allowing the bigger size monitor to fit the mount.

Does this sound like a viable plan or am I looking over something or perhaps someone knows of a monitor arm that suits my needs that I haven't heard of yet. Another option would be 3 seperate mounts but this adds a lot of space that I would save on my desk back onto the desk.

Here are some links of stuff I mentioned
Ergotron HX arm https://www.ergotron.com/pl-pl/products/product-details/hxdesktriplemonitorarm

Offset bracket

Kind regards
Billy

Thanks @Darkbreeze

My experience is mostly using full cockpit setups. However my main concern with this setup is while it will probably get your monitors in the right position, I think the vibration of using a FFB wheel on your desk may cause the monitors to shake. Most sim cockpits the monitor mounts are much more substantial, or disconnected from the cockpit. While it takes up more room, I think if you're using this on a desk 3 seperate mounts would probably be a better choice. Or maybe forego the idea and get an ultrawide?

I'm using a playseat evolution which sits next to my desk and when I sim race I move it under my desk, so the vibrations aren't on the desk itself. But since I'm sitting a bit from my desk, I need to bring in my monitors to the edge, otherwise they would be quite far away. I've calculated that I would need a 60-degree angle for my screens, but most triple screen monitor arms seem to be limited to about 15 degrees.
I'll probably end up going for the 3 separate mounts, I'll see if there's some with a smaller footprint so that I can keep the desk space a bit under control.

Ah I see, thats a good thing. Yes most triple screen mounts aren't really made to surround you like a true cockpit mount setup. At least with the 3 separate mounts you can get that angle you want. The only downside is you're going to be fine tuning the position every time you use them.

You don't have the room to maybe use something like this on the opposite side of your desk?

Or maybe like slide it out from behind the desk when you're going to use it, and have just the cockpit and monitors together?

I do have the space for this, however, this seems to be just the same as a triple monitor stand that doesn't move although probably sturdier.
It's still on the backside of the desk, which would be too far removed from my seat, and it doesn't adjust height with my desk. So seeing all this I think I'll rather have the downsides of 3 monitor arms, which isn't the worst.

I was thinking more that you would move this stand from behind your desk and put it in front of your Playseat, When you are racing, if there is room? So instead of putting the playseat under the desk, you just move yourself right (or left) to where you'd have room to properly put this. Get some long monitor cables to facilitate the movement.
