[SOLVED] Trouble getting Tinkerboard S Started

I recently purchased an Asus Tinkerboard S to use as a "smart TV" box however I am having a few issues with getting it going.

To start with and to familiarise myself with the tinkerboard I decided to install Tinker OS - Android onto an SD Card just to check everything was working, however whenever I power it up the red light comes on for about 10 seconds and then goes out, at the same time as the red light going out the green light flashes briefly.

Could anyone give me any pointers on what is going on? I have tried different micro-usb power supplies (with another power supply the red light flashed intermittently)
Or if anyone has got a guide on what each of the lights mean etc. that would be brilliant I have had a look online and cannot seem to find anything. The jumper is in the correct position accoring to the ASUS instructions and there were no issues with flashing the SD card using etcher.

I would start with Debian, to confirm the board is working. I would also say Debian is better choice for Smart TV application.

Ok tried with Debian on the SD Card, this time round the red light comes on and then the green light after a few seconds. It appears to begin the startup process but after a few seconds on screen the tinkerboard appears to lose power - all the lights go off and the HDMI signal is lost.

Make sure you try with quality USB power adapter... I had similar problem with the original Tinker, until I used the power brick for USB-C phone.

Thanks for the response, managed to get it starting fully with a "generic" USB power supply

Weirdly originally I tried it with a Motorola turbo power charger with an Output of 5V and 3A however with this I get the red light flashing intermittently and no attempt to start. The power supply I used with my previous response is an older Nokia charger with an output of 5V and 500mA.
The power supply that it works with has an output of 5V and 1A (so still less than the Motorola) the only prephirals at the moment is a mouse (apart from HDMI as well). It also has a signifcantly longer cable than the other 2.
Out of interest Alabalcho which phone was it from? Slightly nervous about the reliability of the one I am currently using.
Also I guess this doesn't explain the original android issues I was having? The original plan was to actually install Slash TV as the Smart TV OS but started with asus andorid version first.
