Hi, I've been trying to install OS X Mavericks for use inside of Virtualbox on my AMD Windows 8.1 pc. I am pretty clueless about how to do this, so I did everything according to this article I found.
After starting the VM, I come to the very first startup screen (looks exactly like the one in the article, except I have more ram and video ram allocated).
At that screen, I type amdfx and hit enter. It comes up with an error. I try just amd, and then amd64, and it gets the same error, which is shown in the picture below.
I'm wondering if I did something wrong, or if my system is just incompatible with it, and if it's possible to fix.
Thanks all!

Solution

OSX cannot be installed on AMD CPUs (even in a virtual machine) without using a patched kernel. It's a real pain in the rear.

I know, I am using a patched kernel (Niresh Mavericks). It says it works with AMD and Intel

Niresh Mavericks is pirated software. We do not provide support for it.
