Hello everyone, currently I have several Adobe Premiere projects that needs some fonts from the Open Sans family. I downloaded them from google but it seems when I made the projects the name was different. Instead of Open Sans - Regular in the project is OpenSans. Also, with Open Sans - Semibold, Adobe Premiere is looking for OpenSans Semibold . Cant find the fonts with those names and renaming them with Font Forge has been hell. Adobe Premiere wont let me choose a new font. Did some research but some tools to rename it are paid ones.

Interesting.

This:

" I have several Adobe Premiere projects that needs some fonts from the Open Sans family "

Consider the source/origin of those projects. Anyone there (not asking who) that you can contact?

The origin is me, I had these projects from 2 years ago and now it seems the Open Sans font changed its name or something. I have a new computer and i installed them from google and the names are different although the typography is the same.

Not (full disclosure) sure what to suggest.

The fonts may have been changed, discontinued, or otherwise not as they were due to some copyright or obsolescence issues.

All I can think of, for the moment, is to contact Adobe and ask about the supported fonts.

Hopefully there will be another suitable font that meets your requirements.
