Trouble with dell pc won't boot anything

I got a new sata hard drive and I'm trying to install vista bu my computer keeps saying corrupted files and I try windows 7 cd and it says

Windows failed at start:
\windows\system32/boot/winload.exe failed
0xc00000001

Application missing or corrupted this disk are new I bought a external cd drive and same thing happens I try different USB
Still gets messages with error I try xp as well how can I fix this it doesn't let me go tru anything.

You need a proper install disk. It could be that the laptop is suited to a different OS, what is the make and model of the laptop, or if a PC, what are the hardware specs?

If you have added a video card, an orignal Dell PC only comes with a minimum PSU so it could be that your PSU is only as much as 380 watts, not enough to power a good video card but only good for onboard gpu.

Dell have a badge number on the case, for example - Dimension E520, what does your case badge read?

Is the drive partitioned and formatted? You can't install Windows on an external drive if you tried to do that, but your new internal one should work just fine. When does that error come up?
