Trouble with Windows Xbox 360 wireless pad

I am playing hallife2 on my PC with this controller. I added a custom layout and pasted it into "config" in my Steam folder as detailed to do here:

It worked PERFECTLY....,but now does not at all, save for one or 2 functions. I have restarted the PC, the game, I have unplugged and plugged in the USB antenna, removed batteries, uninstalled and reinstalled driver, deleted and repasted the file to the config folder....nothing seems to be working to get it to what it was doing for days.

Any ideas?

Nevermind, I got it working again.

To use the 360 controller, you enter "exec 360Controller) in the developer mode. I had done that, then added the custom one after the first time. I have no idea why it stopped working, but I was attempting to just add the custom one.

When I added the original one, then the custom one, it works fine. Odd.
