troubles with crossfire

I purchased anther MSI Radeon 7870 OC Edition yesterday and could not wait to begin crossfiring. After the installation, I booted up CS:GO. Ran everything to the max, worked flawlessly! I then booted up Far Cry 3, I noticed that the performance was way worse than it was when I was running it with 1 card. I then Loaded up the new Americas Army Proving Grounds game, again, ran better when crossfire was disabled. I am relatively new to crossfire and could use some guidance getting everything working properly.

I Have all the latest drivers, and have DLed the Application Profiles (although I dont know what to do with them)

Here are my PC specs

CPU: AMD FX4130
RAM: 16gb DDR3
GPU: MSI Radeon 7870 OC Edition x2
MOBO: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0

When you enabled Crossfire, did you install the Catalyst Application Profiles (found on the same page as the drivers on AMD's website)?

You no longer need to do that as of like 13.2.
