I just got these memories.
These are 2 x 8 GB 3200 MHz CL16 HyperX Fury RGB memories (part number: HX432C16FBA3K2/16) and i'd like to use them for a new PC i'm building.

However, i tried them on my current system and couldn't manage to change the RGB lightning patterns. The memories are being recognized by my system just fine, as noted both in the BIOS and task manager. However, they are, by default, on that silly rainbow pattern and i rather have them off than stay like that, however, nor Aura syn nor MSI mystic lightning seems to recognize those. I already have a pair of Trident Z RGB memories working fine with aura sync.

I tried all sort of things to make the newer memories work: on the software side, 3 versions of aura sync, MSI gaming app, MSI mystic lightning, i even reseted my whole PC (it was long overdue and when Aura sync stopped working after the third uninstall and reinstallation, i decided to go for it) and nothing. Someone said to go into BIOS and enable SPD write, but my motherboard doesn't support that option. On the hardware side, i tried switching slots, turning off the PSU for a few minutes and trying again, having them installed alone without the trident Z RGB memories and, of course, trying them with the trident z pair installed as well. Nothing. The HyperX fury memories arrived just yesterday so i'm in time to ask for a replacement/refund.... but being it agift from my parents, i'd like to give them a chance!

Current system specs:

Mobo: MSI H270 gaming M3
CPU: Core I7 7700
GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 SC
RAM: 2 x 8 Trident Z RGB (3000 mhz, CL15) + 2 x 8 HyperX Fury RGB
Cooling: air, Thermaltake Nic C4
PSU: some EVGA 80+ 550W (sorry, can't remember exact model)
Case: Phanteks P400s

Given how you're on an MSI board, you should be working with MSI's Mystic Light app. To add, RGB isn't perfect on any platform and has been known to be a nightmare trying to get either an ecosystem working or just one aspect of an RGB build.

Latest BIOS for your motherboard?

Mystic light won't even open. It says its not supported by the plataform or something om that line.

Bios version: 7A62v27
