I pulled an SSD stick from a 2018 msi laptop that I sold, thinking that I could easily boot into it on a different computer/laptop. It has windows 10 home with all my stuff on it.
The SSD is a Toshiba THNSNJ256G8NY , 256GB . I bought an insignia SSD enclosure for it. None of my other laptops recognize the SSD inside of the enclosure nor can they boot from it(windows does detect the enclosure itself though). I tried opening up a newer laptop (lenovo) and stuck the 2018 SSD in there, but the laptop straight up doesn't see it . I downloaded Macrium reflect to see if it can see it in the SSD enclosure, no luck .
Short of rebuying the exact laptop that I used to own, is there any feasible way I can boot up from my old SSD ?
