The main purpose of this build is for general family use. Mostly will be used for word, google docs, excel, and maybe some light gaming for little brother. Will these parts suffice for this purpose? Also, will I have to update the bios on the motherboard to be compatible with the CPU? And is there a point in waiting until black Friday to maybe get a discount on the RAM? Should I look at open-box or refurb options in my local micro center?
edit1: after looking at the open box and refurb options I found nothing useful. Also forgot to mention, the budget is $300.
edit2: I can also swap the HDD with a 240gb SSD for the same price but I'm not sure which option will be better and if the SSD benefits will make up for the 760gb (Inland - 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive)
