Trying to Connect Wiimote to Computer

I like to play emulators on my computer and I tried to connect my wiimote and nunchuk. I have tried a few times but when I click buttons the computer doesn't register the clicks. Can anyone help?

I'm guessing that you have a wiimote plus. I had absolutely hideous times trying to make it work right.

There are a lot of already established tools to help you, but the two most important parts are the toshiba bluetooth stack and a program called TouchMote... at least I think that's what program it was.

What operating system are you trying to do all this with?

I have no motion plus. This is on windows 8. The remote also turns off after a few seconds. I already tried changing the battery.
