trying to factory reset my laptop but dont have admin password...n it says please restore from media or disk

ive got an Acer v laptop running windows 8 I beleive...its fairly new laptop...so i aquired this laptop n im trying to do a factory reset...but it ask me to restore from disk or from media device or ssomething like that...I also don't know the password for any of the user accounts...so could you pleas help me out...I got the laptop from a mate that owed me coin...n because I started threatening him to pay me my money he gave me a laptop...but it's pointless Gavin g a laptop that doesn't have access...
