Trying to find a Vista compatable wireless card

Hello everyone,
I just upgraded my nc6000 laptop to Vista and now the wirleless card doesn't work 🙁. I tried to go back to xp and it STILL doesn't work! ugh! 🙁 When I try to update the driver it says I have the most up to date one. Before I started screwing with it, it worked just fine. Anyway, can anyone recommend a card for this laptop that will work with Vista? I've been all over hp's site and have the most up to date drivers from them. I was just thinking maybe I can just get a better card for this laptop? Thanks!

Since you switched OS you can't use restore points i guess? Since the Vista installation must have deleted everything on the drive.

Try downloading a OLD driver, it might be that it just doesn't work with these newer drivers, I've tried this with my old laptops gpu had wierd glitches and bad performance after i installed a newer driver that was said to support my GT240m gpu. So try to see if HP have some old driver you can download, if they have multiple older drivers, then you might want to try a few.

Another thing is that Vista will run slower than XP on your machine, i don't know how long time you had to test it before you reverted to XP again, but if you'll want optimum performance, then you might want to keep your old OS. 😉
