Ide like to turn the current nvme in my PC into a ssd by using an adapter with some SATA cables. The issue in having is I'm afraid my PC wont know where to pick up windows from. Is there any way I can change the pathing so it knows I moved the current one. I would attach the 1 tb nvme to the adapter but the heatsink on it makes it to large to fit and I cannot remove it. If it's as simple as plugging it all in and turning it on that would be awesome to know thanks in advance

Only way to install another NVME drive in your pc is with M.2 PCIE adapter.
You'd have to install it into PCIE x16 slot.
Since your motherboard has only single PCIE x16 slot (and single useless PCIE x1 ), then there will be no space for discrete graphics anymore.

Another option is using M.2 to USB adapter.

Thanks for all the heads up, still new to the PC world. Most likely going to return the m.2 nvme and just get a sata ssd. Sounds to be the easiest solution and I'll still have the speeds I was looking for. Anything to not mess with windows tbh lol
