Hi, I've got a bit of an issue.
Basically, what I'm trying to do is create a basic "portable computer" (persistent OS on a 16 USB drive), using VirtualBox Portable, and Porteus Linux.
I've got almost everything working, and I can run the VM directly from the USB stick now, but I can't seem to figure out how to install the guest additions (to make the VM run faster, and in full resolution)
First thing I tried, of course, was to simply have VB "insert" the VBOX guest additions "cd", and install it from that, but Porteus won't do anything with the "cd" no matter what I try.
Google resulted in this video, but I have absolutely no idea where he got the porteus guest additions file, and there isn't much documentation about this anywhere.
If anyone knows what to do here, and can help me, it'd be really appreciated.
Thanks all!

I think all the business of the USB stick is a red herring. Installing guest additions in your virtual machine is just the same as installing them in any Linux VM under VirtualBox. You need to mount the additions CD (ISO file) and then run the installation program. This will require a development environment (gcc compiler and Linux headers) to be present in the VM.

You may want to look at the video on the Porteus web site: http://www.porteus.org/info/videos/youtubegallery.html?galleryid=1&videoid=sqP2ld_Kxys
