Have Vista on 32bit Lenovo T500 and wanting to install Win7 Home premium 64 bit. Windows won't install. If I wipe drive then will I be able to install?
if you have a disc go into bios and set CD/DVD drive as primary boot device so it boots to cd first then wipe the hdd in bios set up. insert disc then shut down and boot from disc to install clean.
You can't directly upgrade from a business edition of Windows to a home version. According to Microsoft, you can only upgrade to the same edition as the older OS or a higher edition (Ultimate for example). If you want to install Windows 7 Home Premium, you have to do a clean install.
