Had an fx 6300 with 1 missing pin. Found an athlon 64 to cover up the missing pin on the mobo, took of 1 from it and I put it where its missing but falls too deep, cant even tell if theres a pin or not so what do I do?
You can't "repair" a broken pin on a CPU. It may be an unimportant pin, like a ground pin. But generally, a broken pin = throw away CPU (or motherboard).
Linus also puts a gpu in a toaster to get it to work again. It can work sometimes for a little while, but is not a solution. The only long term solution would be replacing it.
Yes you can repair it, check out the video of linus where he made phenom x3 great again. Trying to do the same thing but pin falls too deep...
Linus also has a whole team of people trying the same thing 20 times, with 20 different old CPU's, until they get one video sequence where it kinda sorta worked.
