I have looked around and can only find a solution for laptops.

All PCIe slots are used on my Mac Pro so I would like to remove the internal SATA optical drive and install some USB 3 ports. I need an adaptor just like the option for the laptop I posted above but in the larger format. Can anyone help with this internal sata to female USB adaptor setup.

PS: If you're going to post why this won't work, please first explain the product I included for laptops.

Nope not gonna work. This is for the OTHER way around. To connect a Hard drive to a USB 3.0 port adapter. Converting a SATA port to a USB port isn't as easy as it seems. Going from SATA to USB is different though because that is what USB is designed to do. Convert things. SATA is just SATA
After giving up and then giving one more google search, I am going to try this, which appears to do exactly what I am looking to do.
This took way longer than it should have to find a solution, but I am leaving this here for others to look into if they want something like this

Addonics ADSAU31R $27 SATA to USB 3.1 SuperSpeed+ Rack-mount Converter, there looks to be a PCI slot opening which I can use because I have a blank opening with my slim graphics card (not a pci slot, just a blank space usually eaten up by those larger monitor cards)
