Hi there,

I just 1TB of ram (8x 128gb sticks) for my computer and decided to stress test the ram. After a couple minutes of testing, the screen goes black and the computer restarts. I previously had 8x 32gb sticks with no issue. What gives?

I have these components:
Motherboard: Supermicro M12SWA-TF
Chassis: 747BTS-R2K20BP-OTO-11
RAM: Micron MTA144ASQ16G72PSZ-3S2E3 (Not on QVL)
GPU: Zotec RTX 3070

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

First off, are you on the latest BIOS version for the motherboard? Second, were the prior ram kit on your memory QVL? Third, did you try with 4 sticks of 128GB as opposed to 8 sticks? If I were you, I'd have picked up rams based off the memory QVL. The latter would mean less hassle and resources wasted behind troubleshooting.
