Trying to share a usb dongle's internet through ethernet

Hello,
I am using a desktop with windows 7 and a laptop with windows 10. The desktop is connected to the internet by using a usb dongle which is not wireless. I am trying to share the connection through Ethernet by LAN connection to my laptop. I have enabled all the sharing options in both the systems but when I connect the ethernet to my laptop it just identifies then unidentified connection and no internet access. On the Desktop in the network adapters, there are 2 adapters, one is local area connection and the other is the dongle one. I have tried using the dongle on the laptop then sharing but it is not working either. It has worked before though.

The rest is wireless procedure. Dial up software provided by the service software.

It worked... Had not enabled obtain IP address automatically
