Hi Gang

I've had Apple TV previously - cannot figure out how to sign up again (watching it thru my roku) and/or using Windows 10 Pro ???

Its an endless nightmare loop of failures ....

Any ideas?

Thank You

Any specific error codes etc. when sign ups again fail?

Do you you have multiple Apple devices?

Are you using any common email addresses with respect to Apple devices?

I have encountered multiple problems within a mix of Apple and Microsoft devices.

Most seem to be email and/or MAC related. Basically just both sides simply not playing well together. And an apparent expectation that each device has its' own email address.

FYI:

https://services.unl.edu/service/resnet/iotdevices

Sketch out the overall network and desired connectivities: include IP addresses, MAC, email addresses etc. for each device.

Look for any "duplicated" settings amongst the devices.

Hi Ralston

Nice to see you (sorry for the delay).

"Do you you have multiple Apple devices?" NO
"Are you using any common email addresses with respect to Apple devices?" NO

My goal was to either restart my older apple membership (or) create a NEW apple TV membership for the main purpose of viewing Masters Of The Air ... I'm not actively using any apple devices which were recently registered. What puzzles me is that I did have an ACTIVE apple TV membership last year registered THRU my Windows Desktop PC ... However (currently) I am NOT able to sign back in (nor) create a NEW apple membership. I continually get an Apple Screen asking to use my apple device to sign in ... I HAVE NONE .... After several LOOPED Dead Ends, I GAVE UP, started over using CHROME W10 Pro I and instead created a NEW Netflix membership which features Masters Of The Air

Thank You

It was asking you to use an Apple device for Two Factor Authentication. You may still have devices registered on your Apple ID to which it was going to send an authentication request. Log into the iCloud website to check. I know you went Netflix, but if you've had other Apple products in the past and sold or recycled these without removing them from your account (You may be surprised what is on there), they can be used by others to access your account and potentially your payment information. Go there to remove them. Yes, Apple is a pain in the arse...

Hello

CelicaGT

Thanks for the reply ....

I doubt there's anything there .... I'm now 75 years old and the last time I registered (anything) with an Apple ID was back in 2006 .... (it was one of my old G5's), And NO I do not have any Apple Devices, Computers etc. And no I do not use iCloud ...

YEP!
Apple is a pain in the arse...

Update

After numerous FAILED attemps to try to access apple TV (thru Netflix), every attempt FAILED. I then resorted to one LAST attempt to either re-join (re-start), apple TV (or) establish a NEW (and) different email address and a NEW apple ID (since I hadn't used one for 24 years. Let's see what happens now ....

(Progress continuation of discussion apple TV), didn't want to start a new thread?

I successfully paid for a new legitimate apple subscription using a different email address using W10 Pro. I'm trying to sign into two different Roku Ultras, (which ordinarily should be fine). However, (since I had apple TV previously in my other Roku), I can't get that device to recognize the new data. Simply removing and re-installing the App is also pointless. Unlike a PC Browser, you cannot scrub a Roku device, (unless you painfully/purposefully manually RESET the entire device), which means having to RE-ENTER all your channel data again. I'm prepared to do this, just wondering if I'm missing anything? Re-Cap: Trying to install apple TV+ on two different TV's using two different Roku Ultras. So far, my PC is good as well as ONE TV, (no issues).

Thanks Again!
