Question TUF B450m-plus gaming mobo with latest BIOS is not recognising my Ryzen 5 3600 CPU?

Hi all, I'm having this issue where my TUF B450m-plus gaming mobo is not recognising my Ryzen 5 3600 CPU. The bios is at its latest state (version 2006) as per the Asus website. It rig works and turns on properly with an Athlon 200GE installed. I'm so confused, the GPU I'm using is a GEForce 2070 Super which works fine with the 200GE. Any suggestions?

Ryzen 5 3600
bequiet system power 9 600w
MSI GEForce 2070 super 8gb
HyperX Fury RGB 16gb (2x8gb)
Crucial M.2 NVMe 1tb (system doesn't detect at this stage)
Seagate 160 GB SATA HDD (old but works with Athlon 200ge)
