Question Turn off certain USB port when the PC is in sleep mode / shutdown?

Hello. Just recently i bought a new mouse and the LED remains on even when the PC is in sleep mode / shutdown , and i'll be honest - it's a bit annoying. I've been reading a topic from 2015 and some guy mentioned you could turn off the "charging" feature of the motherboard for either USB 2.0 or 3.0. But i dont have such option. I have to either turn off the feature for all ports or disable the ports completely 1by1. And of course i can simply turn it off for all ports , but i usually wake up my PC by hitting any of the keyboard keys. So if there's a chance to keep my keyboard in USB 3.0 and cut the power to all USB 2.0 when the PC is in sleep mode (for some reason i can't wake up the PC with the mouse anyways , even tho i can with any other mouse).

If your mouse is a battery-powered wireless one there should be an on/off switch on it's base.

But unfortunatly , it is not. It's wired. But this is a known bug and finalmouse never managed to fix it.

That's because you're in sleep mode. If the PC is still in sleep mode then anything connected to it will remain powered on unless you fully power down your PC (as in switch off the PSU in the back).
