Hi,

I was pretty tired last night and completely forgot I was defragging my HDD. I tried running it again but it seems to be stuck at 49% for the past hour and it's stuck on the same file, can I fix the damage somehow?

It's not my C drive BTW
i5 6660k
gtx 960
16GB DDR4
120GB SSD - C drive
1TB HDD - D drive

Thanks for your time.

First off, make sure you never run defragmentation on any SSD.
Second, you shouldn't run defragmentation on any drive, it only makes them go from bad to worse.
Third, I'd leave the drive as is and not defrag any further, see if your data is intact on the drive and ofc, keep an eye/ear on the HDD if it makes any weird noises. If it does, backup your data away from the HDD.

I know not to defrag SSD's, but why shouldn't I defrag my HDD?
