TURNING ON PC w/out THERMAL PASTE

I was testing If my mobo & cpu we’re working so I connected them to a peer source & pc case.
IS MY CPU FRIED? CAN I STILL USE IT?

Only way to know is put the heatsink and paste on and try it. You are probably ok though, modern CPUs are pretty tough.
In the past I have witnessed CPUs being immediately destroyed by what you did, but that's many many years ago and the design is a lot better these days.

You could search youtube for videos of people taking the heatsink off while gaming to show what happens, might make you feel better (spoiler, the PC keeps running and the framerates tank).
