I have a 42inch LG LCD 3D TV and have found out that the bottom of my TV display is much dimmer than the rest of the display. Does this mean that the back light has a loose connection, or have a bad solder? or is the back light going and I need a new TV?

Also if there is methods on fixing this problem please may you advise me as I would be grateful!

(usullay to get the lighting on all but one tv I have worked on you have to remove the lcd panel to get the the backlighting which is just a thin piece of glass) and they usually run really high switching voltage power supplys which are high risk to multi-meters if you check the wrong two points.(yes modern lcd tvs still can have some very high voltages in them).

really just take it to a repair shop and get pricing up front
