Question TV flickering while dim?

Hi how do I solve a little problem on my Sharp branded TV. When the TV blinks while its on the dim settings. Also is their a way to format a Sharp TV via settings to make it stop flickering while dim? Or am i SOL?

Probably crappy PWM (pulse width modulation). With some displays it is horrible below a certain brightness setting. Not much you can do but keep brightness above that setting.
