TV screen reads "No Video" when connected to Windows 7 desktop through HDMi

Yesterday I decided to hook up an HDMI cable between my TV and desktop and it worked perfectly fine. Now just after working good for only one night, today it won't work. I plug in the HDMI cable and it does read the intro "Starting Windows" but then then it goes black and says "No Video". What's the diagnosis because I can't figure it out. I tried changing the resolution on my desktop but it doesn't work. It should not work either because it worked fine yesterday. Thanks if you can help.

HDMI switching is still tricky, you may wanna be patient and wait a good 10 sec when the screen goes black before giving up. Are you running HDMI out of the Mobo or do you have a GPU card?

I waited about a minute. Still nothing. It should go to the page where it asks for my user password but nothing pop ups. I don't understand the question your asking about the motherboard and graphics card. Is there a difference because the HDMI cable is just plugged in to the back of my Asus Tower.

Make sure you're using the correct HDMI profile on your TV. Sometimes it resets. You may have to manually create a PC HDMI profile.
