Now that TV streaming services are upping subscription costs, adding ads, and cracking down on password sharing - how then are they different (and better value) than cable? And at what point will cable and dish services be attractive again?

Well, cable and satellite includes broadcast. Streaming TV services cost roughly the same. Just streaming services, all about the content they have and what you are willing to pay.

Having Disney+/Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Paramount Plus, HBO Max is paying quite a bit to get it all.

I think I will let my Amazon subscription lapse I don't watch enough and most things on Prime are available for less without it. I get HBO through AT&T for next to nothing, so I will probably keep that. If their merger with Paramount goes through, that will be nice.

Also important to note that all these streaming services are bleeding money, which is why a lot of them are merging and adding advertisements.
