Hi,

I'm looking for a new 43" TV and I'm trying to understand what's the difference between LED and QLED, the latter are consistently dearer but I'm not sure what I'm getting for the extra money eg.

Philips 43PUS6554 for €419
Samsung UE43RU7100 for €399
Samsung QE43Q60RAT for €629

So €200+ more for the QLED, what are the benefits and is it worth it ?

Thanks,
Zozo

Here's an explanation of Quantum Dot

Samsung Q60 review
Although they're similar, there's more differences between those two than JUST QLED. For instance, the Q60 also has FreeSync, and while that may not necessarily add to the BoM, it is considered a premium feature and thus reflected on the price tag as well.

Also, keep in mind that not all sizes of a product line are necessarily the same. For instance, I own a 55" Samsung Q6FN, but the 49" panel size only has a 60Hz screen, whereas the 55"+ versions are 120Hz.
