While watching ANY Twitch.tv stream, in ANY quality option, it freezes/buffers every 10 seconds for about 10 seconds, and repeats. This is really annoying because the streams are unwatchable and I used to be able to watch them on Source quality before with no problems and now not even on LOW !!!! :fou: I have the same internet speed as before, and have done absolutely nothing with the firewall or anything. I even tried blocking out incoming 199.9.248.0-199.9.255.255 IP addresses and still nothing. I also tried watching the stream through VLC player using a trick with a program but still buffering and freezing. :pfff:

Please help. My internet speed is 13mbps download and 0.80mbps upload. I am on ethernet and I can watch YouTube videos at 720-1080p just fine and can't even watch a stream on LOW, but was able to on Source in the past.

Thanks in advance :bounce:

Solution
The connection to your ISP might be 13Mb, but your ISP's connection to Twitch.tv is not very good. More than likely anyway. What you would need to do is do a tracert or pathping(better accuracy but takes a few minutes) to the Twitch.TV server you are connecting to.

You can't just trace route twitch.tv, you need to actually see what servers your browser is connecting to. TCPView and ProcessExplorer are two programs from Microsoft that can get you this information.
