[SOLVED] Two 6 pin and 8 pin!?

Hi all the idiot I am i bought a GPU with a 8 pin PCI but my current one has two 6 pins but also hanging off the side a 2 pin of each 6 pin ? could i use the 6 pin and 2 pin ?

Yes. The PCIe power connectors now are 6+2pin. If you need a 6pin you just use the 6, if you need an 8pin you use the added 2 with the 6.

Thanks for getting back fast! ok so use one of the 6 Pins but as I have (2) 2 pins coming each of one of the 6pins does it matter which one I use? or is it just all wired to each other and some stage

You'll have to download the drivers for your GPU its normal if it does that
