Two basic question about plugging stuff into motherboard

Hey guys,

I want to plug the HDD_LED wire into motherboard, but it does not say which is + and - just an arrow on one. Is the arrow the positive or negative?

This is the same for POWER SW but with PWR and GND that I have to plug into, again no labeling on the two pin header just an arrow, is that PWR or GND.

Hi, With LED, if not working, just reverse.
With switches, polarity does not matter.

Thankyou, also what does the reset button do? Will that matter which way around?

Polarity doesn't matter. It restarts the PC.

arrow is usually positive, also if one wire is color and one is black the color will be the positive.

Building my own computers...I've learned those two wire connections work either way...as i think "all" led lights do. Good for general info? Gives a comfort level when all those little connections are mostly unlabeled and the owners manual is indecipherable?

I think the Reset Button "works" by grounding out the power to the motherboard. Saying that...probably a relay switch to that effect.
