Two boot up before starting to POST

so I have just built a new Intel rig and for some reason when I press the power button it turns on for a second (the fans spin) ~ then turns off ~ then back on this time for 2 seconds (fans spin) ~ then turns off ~ then turns on normal. its normal when I restart.
the rig is
CPU: I7 4790K
MOBO asus VII HERO
PSU: XFX 750W pro gold fully model
CASE: CM 912 PLUS
there's lots of fans and some corsair vengeance pro 16 GB of ram

Sounds like maybe you should update your Mobo. That might fix the problem if you update it to the latest version.

I believe he means update the motherboards bios if i am not mistaken. Definitely worth a shot.

how can tell if the is my right motherboard REV? for example EZ update says the newest version for my MOBO is 1104 something like that.

Download cpuz and click on the motherboard tab. It should give you all of that info.

Update the BIOS in the BIOS not in windows. The latest BIOS now is 2201 according to the site

Read the manual thats why it comes with one

Click on the the latest from the link I sent you as well as the bios flash utility. Download cpuz and click on the mainboard tab and it will give you all of that info.
