I have Comcast cable for my ISP. We are in a 2 story home and have 4 tv's (3 up and 1 down)that we stream on. We also have 2 main computers (1 up and 1 down) that need maximum performance. this is what I am thinking to set us up. I have the newer Arris TG1682G upstairs that is direct to the coax for service to the ISP.

Here is the issue. There is only 4 LAN ports available on it and wifi signal weak to the end of the house and downstairs.

My thinking is to ad the Netgear C7000 to a second incoming coax line and establish a 2nd separate network.

Will this work? How do I make this work the best?

Nope, sorry. There can only be ONE incoming COAX connection. The ISP will only "talk" to a single modem. Of course if money is no object you can always purchase a second, or 3rd accounts etc then you can hook up as many modems as accounts purchased.

But your "problem" can be solved quite easily.

More LAN ports? just add SWITCH(es) as many as your heart desires.

Weak WIFI? Purchase an Access Point and hook it up, ideally right the middle of the house for 360 coverage.

Single Incoming ISP ---> Modem/router ---> SWITCH (many ethernet port) --------------------------> AP.
