Two folders of same properties and same name

I changed the location of folders- 'download' and 'documents' to E: drive and after changing the locations, both folders have same properties and same name but their icons are different. I tried to restore the location of 'documents' folder but 'downloads' folder's properties automatically changed same as documents folder....both folders are of same properties and they are not separating..... Please help...

How different is different? The folders should be located in their new destination while all content would be diverted to aforementioned folders. Can you also state what you mean by separating?

Back up your critical content onto a removable storage device and then try and perform a system restore or a repair install. Windows 10 is yet in an unstable phase and it's advised to not change the underlying settings of the OS.

In the event that neither work, you should consider reinstalling the OS.
