Question Type 4 corsair cable in chieftec psu

Can i plug a corsair type 4 cable into my modular psu (Chieftec Nitro 85+ 550w)

Why do you need to do that? Bad cable, some mismatch with existing cables?

Could be an indication that something else is wrong or already misinstalled.

You should not exchange/swap modular cables between PSUs.

Use the cables that came with the new PSU.

There was a time when such things could be done. Not any more.

The psu is missing some cables, and i really need the sata power, i dont have any other cables for it. (Only gpu power, 24pin and cpu-8pin.)

Where did you get the Chieftec PSU?

Contact the vendor or Chieftec. They may be able to provide the proper cable(s).

If not RMA the PSU and get another PSU.

You must have a PSU with the necessary wattage and proper cabling.

Otherwise you may find yourself needing to replace other components as well.
