So it happened out of nowhere, my gf was using the pc for something minor this morning, worked fine with no problems, turned it off and once she came back from town and turned it on the problem was there. I've done the press the button for 30s, replugged the ram, graphic card and cpu. Tried different power cords, cmos battery reset, checked for any bent cpu pins. The only thing I haven't tried is different psu since I don't have a alternative. I've had a similar problem about 9 months ago and got new psu, cpu and motherboard so I see no reason why any of them would die so quickly.. What do?

Psu RM 550x
Mb 970A-DS3P FX
Cpu amd fx Black edition

Try jumping the PSU and see if it turns on, it's the green and black wires, if you unsure how to jump a PSU, Google it, there's plenty videos on how to do it, then watch for the fan inside the PSU to spin to see if it works or keep a HDD plugged in and see if it spins when you jump it, best way to see if the PSU is working.

There isn't really a way to check M/B for damage without obvious visual damage such as burn marks or bubbled up/yellow'ish color on top of a capacitor(s). If the PSU works fine, then you know it's something M/B related. I also forgot to mention my original reply, make sure to unplug everything from the PSU when jumping it, you can leave hard drives plugged in, incase there's a short somewhere which causes the PSU short circuit safety module to trip.

If the PSU works fine when jumped but nothing happens when plugged into the M/B then you know there's either a short somewhere or the M/B is dead.

So I've successfully jumpstarted the psu. I've also stripped it down to next to no parts and it made no difference. I've got no igpu so can't check the signal with no gpu. Gonna try sound test all t he parts. If the mb is dead is it worth getting same one if I only ha D it for 9months?

You can also try re-sitting the CPU and removing all the RAM and only install one stick and see if it shows any signs of life, typically M/B will spin fans for a split second to show something is not right but sometimes the PSU short circuit trips before M/B can show any signs of life. Regarding the M/B, if it's only 9 months old, it should still be covered under warranty, motherboards typically come with two or three year warranty.

It's a typical all fans spin, sound of pc booting but goes no further, if I plug my keyboard in while it's on it comes on for 1 sec and dies, no response from mouse as well
