Researchers with the Argonne National Lab and the University of Washington report strain-switchable, field-induced superconductivity in a synthetic material. Doped EuFe2As2 (a sandwich of Europium and Iron Arsenide layers with a sprinkle of Cobalt) provides a look into the moment superconductivity is switched on.

Very poor reporting. 10K is not a "new temperature record" for a superconductor -- the actual record is above 250K. This is only a record for "field-induced" superconductivity.
