Ubisoft Lands Tom Hardy for Splinter Cell Movie

I'd rather see Gerard Bulter in the role of Fisher:

Karl Urban, a kiwi, wouldn't be bad as Fisher. I'm American, but I think nationality shouldn't matter as long as the actor can play the role. He was great as Bones McCoy (and well, ahem, he was in Doom), and I think he can get the low growling voice of Fisher (Michael Ironsides shoes are hard to fill).

I see Fisher as a broad shouldered, tall, lean, even somewhat lanky (hence the hanging from pipes and doing the splits in hallways). But hey, Hugh Jackman played a 6'+ Wolverine even though the character was always short & stocky in the comics, and nobody complained. Maybe Hardy'll pull it off. I'll be looking forward to it either way. The Splinter Cell series has always held a special place in my heart, more so than the Metal Gear series.
