I'm trying to install Ubuntu (desktop) onto a PC. I downloaded the file, burned it onto a DVD, put it into the PC's CD drive, and changed boot priority to the CD drive. But when the computer starts up, it ends up skipping over the CD drive and starting up Windows from the hard drive instead. Disabling the hard drive as a boot device just results in it saying "DISK BOOT FAILURE. INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER."
Apparently, the PC doesn't recognize the Ubuntu file on the disk. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to this sort of thing. What am I doing wrong?
